Last Minute Shopping

Did some last minute shopping. Although I had said to myself to 'pack light', everything can be found in Vietnam itself, but I still can't resist to pack as many things as I could. So my 60-litres Tatonka backpack almost filled up now.

Anyway, just now bought a sleeping bag for $8 and a Fuji underwater camera for $10 (good price, clearance sale from Carrefour).

Weather in Hanoi Vietnam a Big Concern

I am expecting the weather in Hanoi to be hot. Now we seem likely to face double whammy. According to weather forecast, next few days likely to be thunderstorms, humid and hot weather. Really hope that the weather won't spoilt our trip there, especially at Ha Long Bay.

Travel Insurance

NTUC Income Insurance Cooperative is a leading Life and General insurance provider in Singapore. I compare NTUC Income Travel Insurance with travel insurance from other insurers, notably DBS TravellerShield (tied up with Aviva) and AIG AIGAssist Global Travel Insurance. I found that NTUC Income Travel Insurance easily beat all of its competitors in terms of premium rate and also the benefits, although some of the benefits will have excess.

This time, the travel insurance for 6-days trip to Vietnam costs me $23 after 15% discount from NTUC Income.
